First Things First

Here's what Phoenix Fitness actually is.

I'm Geof — an ACE certified personal trainer based in Denver, CO. I've been doing this since 2011. I work with adults who are new to strength training, or returning to it after a long break, and want to do it right with a coach who actually pays attention.

I'm not a large gym, a franchise, or an app. It's just me, working with a small number of clients at a time, in person at an independent gym in Denver or live via Zoom anywhere you are.

Where Are You Right Now?

Find your starting point.

01

I've never really strength trained before

You're not behind. You're just starting, and that's a completely legitimate place to be. Most of my clients come in with zero background in lifting and make some of the most significant progress I've seen.

Start by reading about how I work, then book a free call so we can talk about what "starting from scratch" actually looks like in practice.

02

My doctor told me I need to build muscle

This is one of the most common reasons people find me. Your physician is right — strength training at this stage of life is genuinely important for bone density, metabolism, blood sugar regulation, and long-term mobility.

The question isn't whether to do it, it's how to do it safely and in a way you'll actually stick with. That's what we figure out together.

03

I've tried before. It didn't stick.

That's more common than you'd think, and it rarely means you failed. It usually means the program didn't fit your life, or you didn't have enough support to get through the early phase when things are hard and progress isn't obvious yet.

Worth a conversation before you write it off. The free call is a good place to start.

04

I go to a gym but I'm stuck doing the same things

You show up, you do the three machines you know, maybe the treadmill, and you leave. It's not working the way you hoped and you're not sure what to change. A structured program built around your actual goals fixes this immediately.

The Trainerize option is designed for exactly this situation — you get a real program and bring it to your own gym.

05

I travel a lot and need something flexible

Online coaching via Zoom was made for this. I'm with you live for the entire session — same as if you were in the gym — but you can be at home, at a hotel gym, or wherever your schedule takes you that week.

Several of my longest client relationships are fully remote. It works.

06

I'm not sure I'm ready. I just want to look around.

That's completely fine. Take your time. Read the about page. Look at what other clients have said. Browse the blog if there's something there that interests you.

When you're ready to talk, the free call will still be there. No expiration date on it.

The Free Call

What actually happens when you book.

It's 20 minutes. That's it. We talk about where you are, what you've tried, what you're nervous about, and what you're hoping for. I'll tell you honestly whether I think I can help and what that would look like.

There's no pitch at the end. If it seems like a good fit, we'll talk about next steps. If it doesn't, I'll tell you that too. Either way you'll leave the call with more clarity than you came in with.
